Shirts are suitable for travel

Greetings Shirts are wide, a little cropped and oversized in general. Theyre sort of like a big retro bowling shirt, and this one is made of 100% cotton-linen.

The Sun Faded Capsule

One of the things weve always loved about vintage is the way garments fade after years of wear in the sun. Sometimes brands recreate that look with chemicals or artificial processes (some of the better ones use lasers which is very Star Trek). Natural dyes naturally fade (or, in some cases, darken (tan)) over time with exposure to the sun, making them more beautiful every day theyre worn. We dont - we use the sun (also this is a reminder to always wear sunscreen).

The Sun Faded Capsule is a little slice of our R.T.S. line where we pre-fade items a little to get them started. They look gorgeous and vintage but their story isnt finished. It's on to you to wear and love them to keep developing them. Were releasing this in batches, and theyre quite time and labour-intensive so grab one if you like it because we arent sure when we can get more out in the sun.

CO-200A-SF

This dye is a combination of natural indigo and madder - dyed in layers. Natural dyeing isnt at all like mixing paints - you dont mix Indigo and Madder into purple and then dye with that - that would never work. Its more like creating different colours by shining light through different coloured lenses to create the one you want - we dye a layer of madder, then overdye with a layer (or sometimes layers) of natural indigo and we get this blurple effect.

What makes it particularly special is that the two dyes react differently to sunlight. Madder fades taking its red tones down to sherbert-y pinks relatively fast, while the natural indigo strain we use very slowly dulls so you end up with a fabric that goes from a blurple to an almost purpley-elephant-grey-blue. At every stage its the best colour Ive ever seen so its understandably everyones favourite dye that we do. It is, of course, also the most expensive and hardest to make - drawing upon every drip of expertise from the dyers to get right. Were all really proud.

*Each shirt features a unique fade, making every piece one of a kind. Fades will vary, and were unable to accommodate specific requests.

Crescent shaped back vent improves airflow during seated positions.
